YAY!

i am so very happy. a girl without a stereo in her car is like a guy without a job. that same deflated feeling you get when your self esteem has dropped to an all time low, less the music that makes you smile. i feel i have gone about 2 months without a stereo in my car, and last night i purchased a new version of the one that i had. (the face is happily in its case in my bag...) i can't help to think though, that it will leave my life.

you become so accustomed to having certain material things in your life, and of course when they are gone, you find that you have so much utter appreciation for them. funny, how things are sometimes... you all know, i am sure, you don't know what you have until its gone. this is such a sad prospect. most people don't adore what is in their lives for what they are. even the little things, as well as the big things, the material things and the human things.

and then there is people stuff. i mean, admit it, you have conveniently slipped out of someone's life who completely and unconditionally loved you... and you never actually appreciated them until it was too far in the past to make amends, and realize it for what it was. and of course you have experienced the flipside too... someone that you have been completely head over heels for, has slipped away, they didn't appreciate you for all that you were to them or are, in this world.

all in all, i guess i am just completely ecstatic that i now have music out loud in my car... im spoiled, i know it.

The CD's that took the new stereo's virginity:

1. The Faint- danse macabre
2. Spiritualized
3. The Strokes
4. Now its overhead
5. Modest Mouse- the new one...
6. The nicest thing i ever did for you volume 3.

The tape that first played:

1. Dress Shirts and Invisible Ties

The first radio station:

1. 87.7- static
