suddenly, i have a moment to go through the old favorites links, and suddenly, it seems that there is an amazing amount of 404 errors, and blogs that stopped writing in around January 2002. How can this be? Time just slid by and people moved on to new domains and new interests or just dropped out. i also was fumbling through the music library in the itunes, lots of old stuff in there and no follow up albums to speak of. Of course there is new stuff, but how did 'get me' by dinosaur jr. get on my latest mix?

I have noticed there are a lot of friendster type sites out there now- this is the new wave of 2004- its blogs containted in one personals site. they seem to be everywhere - selling out ad space and kids/adults or everything in between is writing in to purge or divulge or ponder or just write shit down. Friendster, myspace, tribe, makeoutclub, suicidegirls... and lots of photos too. I mean, suddenly everyone is their own rockstar, pornstar, self portrait muse. Its interesting to see all this space move and grow and find its own path as it molds itself.
