where are these kids from?

well, apparently it was time to take our 'every few months bowling outing' tonight. it was supposed to happen last friday, but it got too late too soon, and we just went to the local short stop instead. but tonight, instead of going to the hollywood lanes... we decided to venture to the Sports Center Bowl in studio city. this also happens to be the place where all the valley parents drop their pubescent kids off to play video games and bowl with neon lights and disco music. the place was swarming! watching young girls with glitter and strawberry perfume, grasping onto their best friend of the evening's arm, giggling at the 3 boys who just smiled at them... and the boys who tended to huddle in inconspicuous areas, and observe... of course there were so many other characters, you should just rent "not another teen movie" when it comes out, and you will get a sense for what this bowling alley was like.
anyhow, the wait was 2 hours for a lane... we put our name down, just so that after we had our first beer, maybe something would come up... but, there was nothing, and we left. defeated with blood shot eyes from the dry ice...which by the way, happened to fill the entire sports center with a plastic smoky feel.
so, i am back at home, ready to settle into a movie and an oreo cookie shake, right after this beer.
oh--- saw "monster's ball," today... it was a great... great film. i definitely recommend it. though it is not for the weak.
i figured out today that friday's enrapture and foreplay for the weekend was much more exciting than the weekend itself... don't get me wrong. saturday is always wonderful.
