in retrospect:i truly believe this was one of the best holiday seasons i have ever had... and this will be the last reference to anything holiday for a while... promise... anyhow, this was a good one. i started my shopping on the 23rd and ended it on the 24th of december. as my sister's elf, i went on strike this year. i completely checked out of all duties pertaining to the holiday festivities. i left all responsibility to the people that were more emotionally and physically available. sorry jules, i couldn't be of any assistance this year.... but, look, it went over so well!
there is a certain satisfaction in knowing that, yes, in fact the world will go on without you. i can breath easy knowing that i am not depended upon for much of anything. i have reduced my responsibilities to the small things that are necessary in this world. my fridge knows this better than i do... half and half, butter and beer. ahhh, simplicities are blissful.
