dividends

the few people that i have asked, have let me know that they are somewhat disappointed with the new coldplay. for me, i think the jury is still out. i can't seem to get past track 2, "what if." from my first few listens of the album, it sounds a little over produced. like, they just sat there and remixed and remastered for about a year. it doesn't feel quite raw enough- but, like i said, the jury is still out.

i saw cinderella man tonight. i enjoyed it. movies that are based on true stories seem to resinate with me. probably with most people. something about the 'realness' brings you closer to the characters, the acting, the scenarios. but one thing did stick out to me. the boxer commentator mentioned in two separate fights, "those body blows are dividends that will pay off in later rounds." do you think that during the great depression, the word dividend was a good term to use while commentating on boxing? maybe it was on purpose, meaning, the only place where anyone was seeing any type of dividend was in the ring. in physical body blows.

intensity. you know who will lose in all of this, right? yes. i do. i will.
