i watched star trek the next generation tonight... i didn't catch the title, but maybe you can recall the episode... it was the one where they visit the matriarchal oligarchy planet of 'Angel One.' nice. a planet dominated by women. heh. the men were actually considered very inferior.
its really interesting sometimes how tv shows can manipulate real life to form imaginary places, situations and views, that�s what its about most of the time, isn't it? an escape?
i mean, if i could have a holodeck, wow! what would you do in your holodeck? i mean, people always ask, "what would you do if you won the 120 million dollar lotto?" and the imagination can go on a jog. but if you ask, "if you could have a holodeck, what would you create?" that question could get the imagination sprinting, really.
tonight... ah, tonight... what is different? something in the air, maybe... lack of sleep, a lot of work, maybe not.
i got a flu shot today. did you know that there is a pneumonia vaccine? i didn't. and i didn't get one. maybe i should have. 40,000 people died of pneumonia last year. hmmm. "and its not just for the elderly. the cdc recommends it all the way down to 2 years of age." ahh... sales... usually they fill you up with fodder.
